Star Indian batter Virat Kohli is known for his expressive emotions and his ability to entertain the audience with his body language and dance moves. Virat Kohli showcased another unique gesture in the ongoing match against Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2023.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to field first against Pakistan at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday. The home team made one change to their lineup, with young opener Shubman Gill replacing Ishan Kishan in the playing XI.
The Pakistan openers appeared solid against the Indian pace bowlers after being asked to bat first. However, Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj broke the opening stand with an incoming delivery, trapping Abdullah Shafique in front of the stumps on the last ball of the 8th over.
Imam-ul-Haq scored 36 runs off 38 deliveries before being dismissed by Hardik Pandya. Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan came to the crease after the fall of the second wicket. He survived early in his innings as the third umpire overturned the LBW decision.
