Cricket commentator Aakash Chopra feels that KL Rahul missed some of Virat Kohli’s tactics while leading the side in the IND vs SA 2nd Test in Johannesburg. Aakash Chopra also pointed out a few faults that KL Rahul committed during the encounter, which India lost by 7 wickets to South Africa.

KL Rahul led India in the IND vs SA 2nd Test after Virat Kohli could not participate in the match due to an injury. The right-handed batsman sustained an upper back spasm ahead of the match, due to which he was replaced by Hanuma Vihari in the playing XI. With the absence of a regular skipper, vice-captain KL Rahul led the team in the match.

I Felt KL Rahul Slightly Missed Virat Kohli Tactically: Aakash Chopra

While analyzing the IND vs SA 2nd Test match on his Youtube channel, former India opener Aakash Chopra said that he missed Virat Kohli’s captaincy during the match. He also maintained that KL Rahul slightly missed Kohli’s tactics during the game.

“I definitely missed Virat Kohli the captain. He makes things happen in Test match cricket, he has something. I am not at all against KL Rahul but it was just his first Test match as captain, he hasn’t done much captaincy in his career.

“The fielders were in the deep at the start. You started with Ashwin on the fourth day when the pitch was under the covers for five hours. I felt you slightly missed Virat Kohli tactically,” said Aakash Chopra on his YouTube channel.

Aakash Chopra also mentioned that with the victory in the 2nd Test, South Africa has given a warning signal to India that Test series victory on their soil isn’t that easy for the visitors.

“We will have to say that South Africa have defeated India comprehensively, a win by seven wickets. India won the first match, we breached the Centurion fortress but South Africa also wrote history here because Wanderers – home away from home for India, we had never lost a Test match here. South Africa have given a warning signal to India that a maiden Test series will not happen that easily in Cape Town,” Aakash Chopra further said.
