Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj destroyed the South African batting order on Day 1 of the second Test between India and South Africa. Siraj completed his fifer by removing Marco Jansen for a duck and once again showed why is he among the top bowlers in world cricket at present.

Mohammed Siraj drew the first blood by getting rid of Aiden Makram for 2 runs whereas knocked over the previous match centurion Dean Elgar for 4 runs. Tony de Zorzi was the third victim of Siraj as he was caught at short leg for 3 runs by Rohit Sharma. Siraj took his fourth wicket by removing David Bedingham for 12 runs whereas Marco Jansen was his fifth prey. After his fifer, Siraj didn’t stop here and dismissed Kyle Verreynne for 15 runs to get his sixth wicket.

Ahead of the Cape Town Test, Mohammed Siraj played a total of 22 Test matches and has picked up 61 wickets. Siraj made his Test debut during the third Test of the 2021 tour of Australia and picked up two five-wicket hauls.

That was the time when Mohammed Siraj was leading a young Indian pace attack and also played an important role in India’s historic win at ‘The Gabba’ in Brisbane in the fourth Test match.

The Indian team have never won a Test match at the Sahara Park Newlands and will be aiming to register their first Test victory in Cape Town. Mohammed Sirajs impressive bowling performance during the second Test match against South Africa can help India restrict the Proteas for a low score and then make a massive first innings total to tighten their grip on the match.

The Indian team lost the first Test match of the series at the SuperSport Park in Centurion by an innings and 32 runs and suffered a huge loss in the World Test Championship 2023-25 standings. The Indian team will now want to win the second Test and level the series 1-1 to finish the South African tour with a win.

Netizens go crazy over ‘Mohammed Siraj show’ in Cape Town

After Mohammed Siraj continued his dream performance during the second Test against South Africa, the netizens went crazy on social media and came up with different reactions.

After the South African tour, India will be facing Afghanistan at home in a three-match T20I series.
