IND vs SA Key Battles

Marco Jansen vs India's openers:

Of the three games in the series so far, both of India's two openers failed to do well in only the second game and South Africa managed to win that clash. In the first match, Sanju Samson scored a century before he and Abhishek Sharma failed to do well in the second game.

In the third clash, Samson failed to do well but Sharma hit a whirlwind half-century. The Proteas will be hoping that their left-arm pacer Marco Jansen sent back India's openers cheaply to give them a good start.

Tilak Varma vs Keshav Maharaj:

This is another battle that could decide the outcome of the fourth T20I. Tilak Varma showed during the third IND vs SA T20I that he is capable of winning any game singlehandedly for his team. The southpaw scored a stunning ton and will be eyeing a similar performance in the upcoming game.

The onus will be on South Africa spin spearhead Keshav Maharaj to send back Varma cheaply. Varma was dismissed by spinners in the first two games and Maharaj will be fancying his chances against him.

Varun Chakravarthy vs Heinrich Klaasen:

This is another key battle that could be decisive in the fourth IND vs SA T20I. Heinrich Klaasen can blow away just any team on his day and the onus will be on Varun Chakravarthy to keep the South Africa star silent. Chakravarthy has dismissed Klaasen twice already in this series and will be looking to dismiss him for the third time.

IND vs SA Key Players

IND: Suryakumar Yadav, Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh, and Ravi Bishnoi are the key players for India.

SA: Aiden Markram, Keshav Maharaj, Heinrich Klaasen, Marco Jansen, and Gerald Coetzee are a few key members of the home side.

IND vs SA Weather And Pitch Report

According to the weather forecast, there is a 33 percent chance of rain at 5 PM, which is the time when the game is scheduled to begin. On the other hand, the probability of rain in the afternoon is more than 50 percent.

So the start of the third IND vs SA T20I could be delayed by rain and wet outfield. However, the game is unlikely to be washed out as the forecast for the night is promising.

The pitch will have good bounce and pace that would assist the pacers. However, the venue is known as a high-scoring one. The average first-innings total at the venue is 174 runs and the batsmen will be looking to make the most of the good batting conditions.
