IND vs SA: "Unbelievable Collapse" - Twitter Shocked As India Lose 6 Wickets For 0 Runs In Cape Town

Fans on X reacted after India suffered a terrible collapse in the first innings of the ongoing Test match against South Africa. It has been absolute scenes in the Newlands Park in Capetown as bowlers are all over the batters. 

After India bundled out South Africa for just 55 runs in their innings, it was expected that they would put on a better show with the bat. They had a great start with the bat as skipper Rohit Sharma (39) and Shubman Gill (36) batted well even though they lost Yashasvi Jaiswal early for a seven-ball duck.

After Rohit and Gill got out, Virat Kohli (46) took the onus to himself and played some glorious shots. India had a decent second session of Day 1 but in the third session demons came to haunt them as they displayed a torrid show with the bat and it didn’t look like they were professional cricketers.

India were going pretty well and was well settled at 153/4 with KL Rahul and Virat Kohli batting. However, it was then that Lungi Ngidi changed the complexion of the game and brought his team back to the game after his stupendous over. 

Lungi Ngidi picked three wickets in his over and after that, Kagiso Rabada wrapped up the tail. India lost the last 6 wickets for 0 runs, which speaks volumes about the torrid batting display they produced after the tea on Day 1. 

Even though India took the lead of 98 runs, it was a torrid batting display from their end.  They now would be hoping to take early wickets in the second innings and set themselves as low target as they can. The series stands at 1-0 with Proteas in the lead. The visitors would be hoping to stage a comeback in the game and draw the series.
