The two-match Test series between India and South Africa will commence on December 26 at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, the experienced duo of the Indian team, will be back in action for the first time since the finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were the two highest run-getters in the ODI World Cup 2023 with 765 runs and 597 runs respectively.
The two veterans of Indian cricket will be back in red-ball action after July 2023 when they faced West Indies in a two-match Test series. However, it is being speculated that this series would be the last red-ball series for the duo on South African soil. Former South African cricketer Allan Donald reckons that the two will be motivated to make a statement in South Africa.
