Virat Kohli and Royal Challengers Bangalore share an unbreakable bond. Kohli has been part of the franchise throughout his IPL career and is also the highest run-scorer in the competition. However, he is yet to win a trophy for his franchise and will want to end the jinx in the 2024 edition of the tournament.

Virat Kohli is currently with the Indian cricket team for the two-match Test series. The first Test is being played in Centurion, where Virat got the privilege to meet his little RCB fans. Virat Kohli till now has played a total of 237 matches in the Indian Premier League for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and has scored 7263 runs at an average of 37.25. His strike rate has been 130.02 and he has slammed a total of seven hundred, out of which four came in the 2016 edition.

Virat Kohli scored a total of 973 runs in the IPL 2016, which is the highest by any player in the history of the tournament, though, still he has not been able to help his team win a single IPL trophy. Virat Kohli had a blast season with the bat in 2023 as he scored 639 runs from 14 games and hit two centuries. Kohli will now once again want to repeat the same performance in 2024.

Virat Kohli led the franchise until 2021 but passed the legacy to Faf du Plessis and now all the onus is on him to help his team win the maiden IPL title.

RCB has one of the best support staff, the best players in their squad, and also one of the most loyal fan base. However, the major problem with the franchise has been not being able to capitalize on the crucial moments.

Getting to Virat Kohli’s current performance in international cricket, the ‘modern master’ reached 50 ODI centuries during the 2023 ODI World Cup and was also adjudged the Player of the Tournament for being the top run scorer.

However, he was not able to help the Indian team win its third ODI World Cup trophy and lost against Australia in the final by six wickets.

Virat Kohli will now want to start 2024 with a mission of leading the Indian team to its maiden Test series win in South Africa and also help them reclaim the T20 World Cup after 2007 next year. Winning an IPL title with RCB will be also one of the prime goals for Virat Kohli in the year 2024.
