Virat Kohli was at his best on the field during the ongoing second Test against South Africa. The match between the two teams is taking place at Newlands Park in Cape Town.

India were asked to field first and they had a staggering outing with the ball. They enjoyed their time with the ball as pacers were all over the batters and bundled them out for a low score to assert their authority in the game on Day 1 itself.

Virat Kohli was again the center of attraction for the team as he was electric on the field. He also lifted his teammates right from the start and made sure that the Indian team had their tails up from the start.

Apart from that, Virat Kohli was also at his joyous best in the game. During the last ball of the 16th over when Keshav Maharaj came to bat, the DJ in the stadium played ‘Ram Siya Ram’. But what caught the attention of many was Kohli’s reaction to it.

Virat Kohli was seen doing Lord Ram’s gesture as the song was playing. The batter folded his arms and also gestured to play archery, which was the signature of Lord Ram. The video of that incident went viral on the internet.

Here’s the clip:

Coming to the Indian bowling, India had a sensational outing with the ball. The key architect behind that was Mohammed Siraj. The fast bowler was all over the Proteas’ batting lineup and removed their wickets in a flash to register his career-best figures.

Mohammed Siraj took 6 wickets for just 15 runs and was thoroughly unplayable throughout his spell. Apart from him, Jasprit Bumrah and Mukesh Kumar also chipped in. The duo picked two wickets each as India bundled out South Africa for just 55 runs.

IND vs SA: India take first innings lead; Virat Kohli takes the stage

India in reply didn’t have a great start as young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal got out for a seven-ball duck. But skipper Rohit Sharma (39) played a decent innings for his team. He attacked the South African bowlers and played his shots that put pressure on the bowlers.

Rohit Sharma was supported well by Shubman Gill (36) as the duo added 55 runs for the second wicket. After the captain got out, Virat Kohli took center stage. He has looked in good touch and has played some glorious shots far in his innings. The batter also was tested but he held his nerves.

Virat Kohli, who scored 76 runs in the second innings of the last game, would be eager to continue his golden touch and play a big knock for his team. India has taken a first innings and would be hoping to get as many runs as possible to completely outplay the opposition. For that onus will be on Kohli to get his team a big lead. Shreyas Iyer along with others needs to support him well only then visitors can take a big lead in the series.
