Former India opener Gautam Gambhir has said that Jasprit Bumrah was his biggest positive thing for the IND vs PAK match. The cricketer-turned-commentator also said that Jasprit Bumrah will be India’s biggest X-factor in the World Cup.

Jasprit Bumrah bowled 5 overs in IND vs PAK match. He conceded 18 runs off his spell; registering an economy of just 3.60. He also grabbed the first breakthrough for the team by dismissing Imam-ul-Haq.

Jasprit Bumrah Was Biggest Positive Thing For Me In The Match: Gautam Gambhir

While speaking to Star Sports in a video, cricketer-turned-commentator Gautam Gambhir picked Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling as his biggest positive thing in the match against Pakistan.

“For me, the biggest positive thing coming out of this match was Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling in this match. His 5 overs in the match reveal his quality. If Jasprit Bumrah is fully fit, then he will be India’s biggest X-factor in the World Cup,” Bumrah said.

Gambhir also praised Bumrah for effectively using his variations in the match.

Interestingly, Kuldeep Yadav was the star performer with the ball in IND v PAK match. He grabbed a 5-wicket haul in the match. The left-arm spinner became the 5th Indian bowler to pick a five-wicket haul against Pakistan in ODIs.

KL Rahul and Virat Kohli were stellar in the batting department. Both of them shattered unbeaten centuries and also etched a 235-run stand to drive the team to a mountainous 356-2 total. Later, Pakistan were bowled out for just 128 and lost the game by 228 runs. Virat Kohli won the player of the match for his vivacious knock.

With the victory, India needs to defeat Sri Lanka to grab a berth in Asia Cup 2023 final. India will face Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in the Super Four round. Pakistan will face Sri Lanka in their final game of the Super Four round.
