IND vs SL: Watch - KL Rahul Shows Great Awareness And Plucks A Stunning Diving Catch To Dismiss Charith Asalanka

India are keeping things tight while defending the low total against Sri Lanka in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2023. Keeper-batter KL Rahul has exhibited brilliant skills behind the stumps and has lifted his team up with his efforts. 

KL Rahul, who earlier took the stupendous catch to remove Pathum Nissanka, also has shown great awareness in the game. The result of that saw India picking the wicket of good-looking Charith Asalanka at the crucial stage of the game in Colombo. 

Kuldeep Yadav bowled a flighted delivery that drifted into which Charith Asalanka sat down and tried to sweep. He didn’t notice the ball well and got a bit of glove as the ball lobs off the pad. KL Rahul showed great awareness and dived in front to his right and took a low catch.

Charith Asalanka looked in good touch and had he stayed till the end he would’ve taken his team home. He scored 22 runs off 35 balls with the help of two fours. Kuldeep Yadav got the prized scalp as he has been bowling well in the game. 

Indian bowlers have been up to the mark and sent six Sri Lankan wickets in just under 100 runs. The game is heading towards the nail-biting end and it remains to be seen who will emerge victorious in the game. 

IND vs SL: KL Rahul scored crucial 39 runs with the bat 

KL Rahul, who scored a century against Pakistan last night, played a vital role for India in the ongoing game with the bat. The keeper-batter came to bat when India lost quick wickets to Sri Lanka spinners. He showed great composition and looked comfortable against spin. 

KL Rahul ended with the knock of 39 runs off 44 balls. What was impressive was even in the difficult batting conditions, his strike rate was around 90. He also smashed two fours in his innings.
