Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has made a surprising choice while naming his favorite fielder during the ongoing ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023. Suresh Raina sidelined world-class fielders such as Ravindra Jadeja, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Glenn Phillips.

The marquee tournament in India has witnessed outstanding performances from batters, bowlers, and fielders. The host nation, India, has notably become one of the standout fielding teams in the tournament, showcasing remarkable skills and agility in the field.

Kuldeep Yadav Is Putting A Lot Of Body On The Line – Suresh Raina

In a video shared by ICC on its Instagram handle, Suresh Raina chose left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav as the standout fielder of the 2023 World Cup. Raina praised Kuldeep for his dedication and willingness to put his body on the line during the tournament.

“I would say Ravindra Jadeja, Virat Kohli, and Glenn Maxwell. Then you have Glenn Phillips, he has been taking a lot of good catches; caught and bowled.” Raina said.

“And the most important fielder, Kuldeep Yadav. I think he’s putting a lot of body on the line. He’s been taking a lot of dives. I think, as a bowler, it’s not easy. He’s taking a lot of enjoyment in his fielding,” Raina added.

Rohit Sharma Has Been Very Friendly – Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina recently heaped praise on Rohit Sharma, comparing him to the legendary MS Dhoni. Raina suggested that Rohit is the next captain to embody the qualities that Dhoni brought to the Indian cricket team.

“Whenever I used to talk with players they use to say Rohit has the same respect as Dhoni – Rohit has been very friendly in dressing room,” Raina was quoted as telling SportsTak.

“I would say he is the next MS Dhoni for the Indian cricket team. I have seen him, he is calm, he likes to listen, he likes to give confidence to the players and, on top of that, he likes to lead from the front. When the captain leads from the front and, at the same time, he gives respect to the dressing room atmosphere, you know you have it all,” he added.
