Mohammed Siraj is having a field day in the Asia Cup 2023 final against Sri Lanka in Colombo. The Indian pace spearhead registered one of the best-ever figures in Asia Cup history with 6/21. He bowled six overs on the trot and has picked up six wickets.

He took four wickets in his second over starting with the wicket of Pathum Nissanka on the first delivery of his second over. He started his spell with a maiden.

Then onn the third, fourth, and sixth delivery of his second over, he dismissed Sadeera Samarawickrama (0), Charith Asalanka (0), and Dhananjaya de Silva (4).

Siraj had a chance to get his hat-trick with De Silva facing the Indian pacer. However, De Silva drove the ball through long on and Siraj was seen chasing the ball. However, the ball trickled to the boundary. He had his revenge in the very next ball as he got Dhananjaya edged to the keeper on the very next delivery.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli who was fielding at the slips was left in splits seeing Siraj chase the delivery to the boundary. Shubman Gill also had a smile on his face but it was Kohli who could not stop himself from laughing.

Siraj came back to dismiss Dasun Shanaka and Kusal Mendis to bag six wickets in the game. Still early days in the game, but India are looking favourites to win the match. India defeated Sri Lanka in their previous Super 4 game which was a low-scoring thriller. In the final, they now have a big foot forward.
