Mohammed Siraj, on Wednesday (June 12), took an absolute blinder to send back Nitish Kumar in the ongoing game between India and the USA at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first against the co-hosts. His decision to bowl first was justified by Arshdeep Singh in the very first over as he picked up two wickets. On the very first ball, he dismissed Shayan Jahangir before sending back Andries Gous on the final ball of the same over to leave the USA reeling at 3 for 2.

USA managed to avoid losing any more wickets in the powerplay but suffered another setback in the eighth over when Hardik Pandya dismissed their in-form batter and stand-in captain Aaron Jones for 11 to leave them 3 down for 25 runs.

It was followed by two good stands. Steve Taylor and Nitish Kumar added 31 runs for the fourth wicket before the former was dismissed by Axar Patel for 24. Nitish Kumar and Corey Anderson then steadied the ship before Mohammed Siraj came up with the stunning catch to send back the former for 27 runs.

On the fourth ball of the 15th over, Arshdeep Singh bowled a short delivery to Nitish Kumar and the USA batter decided to go for a pull shot. He made a decent connection and at first, it looked like the ball would sail over Mohammed Siraj's head at deep square leg for a six. However, the Indian pacer had other ideas.

He timed his jump to perfection and caught the ball with both hands before falling on the ground. He also did well to make sure that none of his body parts touched the boundary rope after he completed the catch. Nitish Kumar's 27-run knock came off 23 balls and contained two fours and a six.
