IND vs USA: Watch - Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma openly laugh and mock vintage Pakistan fielding, Babar Azam furious

India captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli although didn’t have a great outing with the bat in a game against Pakistan, the duo were actively involved in the match. The T20 World Cup 2024 match between the teams took place at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on (9th June).  

India played a sensational game of cricket as they made a magnificent comeback with the ball and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat against Pakistan. They sealed the game by the margin of just 6 runs at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. 

The Rohit Sharma-led side had a horrible outing with the bat as they had no answers to a class of the Pakistan pacers. The batters gave their wickets away at regular intervals as the Men in Blue came under pressure and looked down and dusted. 

Rohit Sharma along with Virat Kohli both perished early as all the pressure was on the young guns. Only Rishabh Pant thrived under pressure as he played a magnificent innings and played a vital innings of 42 runs that took India to a total of around 120. 

In the end, Indian bowlers Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj also chipped in with a few runs, which ultimately proved to be the difference. While the seriousness was there for everyone to see, there also was a comical moment in the game. 

It was during the third ball of the 19th over when Shaheen Afridi bowled a full toss to which Mohammed Siraj played it to deep cover. He ran for a single but his partner Arshdeep Singh wasn’t interested and said no as the duo settled for just one run. 

However, in what was a comical turn of events, as the ball came to Shaheen Afridi, the pacer didn’t gather the ball as it hit his toes and went away. This made Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh sneak in an opportunity to take another run. 

This made Pakistan skipper Babar Azam fume in anger as he wasn’t convinced by the effort. But what caught the attention of the man was the reaction of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who was sitting in the dugout. The duo couldn’t control their laughter and their reaction went viral on the internet.

Indian bowlers shine with the ball as they win the game by 6 runs 

After India got all out for 119 runs, they had a very low chance to win the game. Even the win predictor gave them just an 8% chance. But the bowlers stood tall against all the tides and came up with a sensational performance to help the team win. 

Jasprit Bumrah was the main man behind the carnage. He changed the complexion of the game and returned with the figures of 3/15. Along with him, others too chipped in as India restricted Pakistan to 113 runs to win the match by 6 runs.
