India and West Indies are set to collide with each other in the 3rd T20I of the ongoing India tour of West Indies 2023. IND vs WI 3rd T20I will be played on Tuesday (August 2). Providence Stadium in Guyana is the venue of the encounter.

West Indies is led by Rovman Powell in IND vs WI T20I series. Hardik Pandya leads India in the series. West Indies leads the series 2-0 after two games and needs to win just one more encounter to win the series.

West Indies won the 1st T20I by 4 runs. Batting first in the match, the home team piled up 149-6 in 20 overs. Middle-order batters Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell scored 41 and 48 respectively.

Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal grabbed 2 wickets each for India. During the chase, India lost openers Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill for single digits. Tilak Varma slammed 39 runs for the team but lost his wicket at a crucial moment. Towards the end, India had already lost 8 wickets and could only reach 145-9 till the ultimate over.

In the 2nd T20I, India opted to bat first. This time too, openers could not do much and Tilak Varma saved the team from a top-order collapse. With his 51 runs, he took the scoreboard to 152-7. Hardik Pandya (24) and Ishan Kishan (27) also added some runs on the board. The rest of the batters could not cross the 15-run individual mark.

Later, West Indies too faced a big blow at the start, losing 2 wickets in the 1st overs itself. Later, Nicholas Pooran stormed a marvelous knock of 67 runs off 40 balls smacking 6 fours and 4 sixes.

Rovman Powell (21) and Shimron Hetmyer (22) also added crucial runs. Towards the end, Akeal Hosein (16*) and Alzarri Joseph (10*) drove the team to victory when the team was 8 wickets down.
