Aakash Chopra, the former India star opener criticized Hardik Pandya, the skipper of the Men in Blues in the five-match T20I series against West Indies. Chopra questioned Pandya’s decision to not prefer Arshdeep Singh over Yuzvendra Chahal.

The 45-year-old took to his official Twitter account and said that Yuzvendra Chahal was the best spinner in the 3rd T20I match and his third over helped India to get back on the match.

Chopra also mentioned that West Indies’ hard hitters, Shimron Hetmyer and Jason Holder were dismissed by no other than Yuzvendra Chahal.

“Chahal was the best Indian spinner…his 3rd over (16th over) spun the match in India’s favour. Hetmeyer…Holder dismissed by Chahal. Shepherd runout. He should’ve bowled the fourth over…ideally, the 18th over…if not 18th…definitely 19th. IMHO. #WIvInd,” Chopra wrote on Twitter.

Here’s why Aakash Chopra called Yuzvendra Chahal the best spinner in 2nd T20I Vs WI

33-year-old, Yuzvendra Chahal bowled only for three overs and was not given a chance to deliver his final over. However, Chahal took two wickets in his three-over spell and gave away 19 runs with an economy of 6.30. Chahal’s 16th was crucial for the Men in Blues since he dismissed two Caribbeans in the same over and gave an advantage to the visitors.

In the second T20I match of the five-game series, India won the toss and went on to bat first. Even though the youngster, Tilak Varma played a stunning inning and played a 51-run knock but the rest of the batsmen failed to make an impact in the first inning.

Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya also tried their best and scored 27 and 24 runs respectively. Men in Blues gave a 153-run target, however, they failed to defend it in the second inning.

Hardik Pandya was the highest wicket-taker in the second T20I match against West Indies, and scalped three wickets in his four-over spell and gave away 35 runs. Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar both took one wicket each.

The Men in Blues need to find an anecdote and get back their momentum to win the upcoming match of the T20I series or else they will fail to clinch a series win against the Caribbeans.
