The 23-year-old right-handed India National Cricket Team opening batsman Shubman Gill once again failed to perform in the ongoing five-match T20I series against the Rovman Powell-led West Indies National Cricket Team.

In the first two T20Is, the youngster failed to provide India with good starts and the Men In Blue lost those matches. He scored just 3 and 7 runs in the first two matches. Many expected that the talented batter will finally bounce back and perform well in the third game. However, that wasn’t the case.

Shubman Gill started off his innings with a four, but after that, he failed to get going. He played too cautiously and wasn’t able to add the runs to the scorecard.

On the second ball of the 5th over, pacer Alzarri Joseph ended Shubman Gill’s poor stay in the middle. The pacer bowled a short ball and Gill went for the pull shot. However, he wasn’t able to make a good connection and was caught by Charles at midwicket. The batter was extremely disappointed after getting out and he shouted in frustration. He scored just 6 runs off 11 balls, before walking back to the hut.

Overall, the West Indies tour has been a horrible one for Shubman Gill. He has registered scores of 6(10), 10(11), 29*(37), 7(16),3 4(49), 85(92), 3(9), 7(9) and 6(11).

Also, Shubman Gill was slammed by the fans for not performing well outside the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The youngster has scored 126 runs in Ahmedabad in just one innings and in the remaining 8 T20I innings at other venues, he has scored just 92 runs.
