Virat Kohli Knows The Value Of Each Run – Ian Bishop
The cricketer-turned-commentator urged young Windies cricketers to focus on running hard to score runs rather than just waiting for boundaries, citing Virat Kohli as an example.
“Here’s a guy who’s around for 500 games, knows the value of each run. Putting his body on the line, that tells you about his commitment. I wish I could tell every youngster in Caribbean to run like that and not wait for boundaries,” Bishop said on commentary.
The Rohit Sharma-led team was in a bit of trouble as they lost four wickets in the post-lunch session. India were reduced to 182-4, but Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja negotiated the final session to help the team avoid further danger, adding an unbeaten 108-run partnership.
