India skipper, Rohit Sharma picked his favorite moments of his 16-year-plus cricket career, and in an interesting way, the Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper ignored the Indian Premier League (IPL) wins with the franchise.

Rohit Sharma picked the 2007 World Cup win as his favorite moment in his career. Following this, the 36-year-old chose his debut Test hundred against West Indies in 2013 at Eden Gardens.

At number three, Rohit Sharma kept Gabba Test win, and at number four, his hundred-run partnership with Sachin in the CB series. Lastly, the skipper picked his 264 runs in an ODI match.

In IPL, Rohit Sharma has been associated with the Mumbai-based franchise since 2013 and led the side to IPL win five times, but he did not pick the incredible IPL wins as his favorite moment in his career.

Rohit Sharma’s stats with India

Rohit Sharma made his India debut in 2007 against Ireland in the 50-over game, following which he played 244 games and scored 9837 runs with a strike rate of 89.98. His highest score for the Men in Blue is 264 runs.

In the Test format, Rohit Sharma made his debut in 2013 against West Indies at Eden Gardens following which he has played 52 games and scored 3677 runs. He hammered 10 Test centuries, one double century, and 16 half-centuries.

In the 20-over format, Rohit played 148 games and scored 3853 runs with a strike rate of 139.25. He smashed four centuries, and 29 half-centuries. Rohit’s highest score is 118 runs. In IPL, Rohit Sharma appeared in 243 games and scored 6211 runs with a strike rate of 130.05 for the Mumbai-based franchise. He hammered one century, and 42 half-centuries.

In the upcoming 2023 ODI World Cup, Rohit will be leading the India squad. There will be a lot of pressure on the skipper since the Men in Blues have not a won single ICC trophy in the past 10 years.

However, India will have an advantage to play in front of their home crowd which will motivate them to get a hand on the prestigious trophy.

India will begin their 2023 World Cup voyage on 8th October against Australia at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. The match will kick off at 2:00 PM IST.
