IND vs WI: Tilak Varma's 50 Doesn't Matter- Parthiv Patel's Shocking Verdict On Hardik Pandya's Selfish Act

Suryakumar Yadav, after a string of low scores in the ODI series and the first two T20Is came back to form scoring a match-winning 83 off 44 balls as India successfully chased down 160 with 13 balls to spare.
The Men in Blue failed to chase 150 in the first T20I. They then failed to defend 152 in the second T20I. Heading into this must-win match, SKY’s remarkable knock helped India to stay alive in this contest.
He was ably supported by Tilak Varma who scored an unbeaten 49 off 37 deliveries. Hardik Pandya scored 20 and also hit the winning runs that left the youngster stranded one short of his second T20I half-century in three games.

Suryakumar Yadav Is Almost Forcing Bowlers To Bowl Where He Wants: Parthiv Patel
Speaking at Cricbuzz, Parthiv Patel hailed SKY’s T20I knock and termed it a complete innings. The batter hit 10 fours and four sixes during his knock.
“I think Suryakumar Yadav’s biggest strength is to get into those positions very quickly, almost anticipating where the bowler is going to bowl. He is almost forcing the bowlers to bowl where he wants them to bowl. It looked like he will cruise to his hundred, but unfortunately, it did not happen. It was a complete T20 innings by Suryakumar Yadav,” Parthiv Patel said on Cricbuzz.
The former Indian cricketer further backed India to play with an aggressive mindset in the remaining two T20Is and win the series. The team was criticized for being a bit too defensive after losing the first two games on the trot.
“I don’t mind the all-out aggressive approach by the Indian team, because I would rather go down that way than die wondering. Tilak Varma showed a great sense of game awareness and maturity, he played second fiddle when Suryakumar Yadav was going from the other end. Once Surya got out, he took charge and allowed Hardik Pandya to settle in” Parthiv further said.
The former Indian cricketer concluded by keeping his opinion on Tilak Varma’s unbeaten 49-run knock. He said that the southpaw is growing as a cricketer and it is important that he finished the job.
“I think Tilak Varma is actually growing game by game. He did not get to his 50, but that does not matter, what matters is that he finished the job,” Parthiv Patel concluded saying.
India and West Indies play the final two matches on Saturday (July 12) and Sunday (July 13). India needs to win both matches to win the series.
