IND vs WI: Watch - Alick Athanaze Takes Blinder To Send Dangerous Ishan Kishan Packing In 2nd ODI

Indian batter Ishan Kishan continued his golden touch in the ongoing West Indies tour as he smashed yet another half-century. The keeper-batter smashed a magnificent half-century in the first ODI and then followed it up with another fifty in the ongoing second game. 

Ishan Kishan looked threatening once again as he played some blistering strokes and was looking set for a big ton but the brilliance of Alick Athanaze saw him in the hut for 55 runs. The West Indies batter took a stupendous diving catch to cut short the batter’s innings.

Romario Shepherd bowled a back of a length delivery outside off to which Ishan Kishan tried to cut over the backward point region. But Alick Athanaze, who was stationed there, dived to his right and picked the blinder with both hands.

Ishan Kishan scored 55 runs in 55 balls and took charge of the West Indies bowlers with his attacking mindset. The keeper batter played smashed 6 fours and 1 six in his innings and also stitched a staggering 90 runs partnership with Shubman Gill (34) at the top.

IND vs WI: India Lose 5 wickets in quick succession of time 

Opting to bat, Ishan Kishan (55) and Shubman Gill (34) gave a steady start to the team but after their wickets, India suffered a major collapse. Axar Patel, who came to bat at No.4 scored just 1 run before Hardik Pandya was dismissed for 7 runs. 

It was expected that Sanju Samson will take the team out of trouble but he too perished early for just 9 runs as India found themselves tottering at 113/5 before rain stopped the game.
