IND vs WI: Watch – Hardik Pandya Presents Signed Ball To A Girl After Accidentally Hitting Her During Net Session

Indian captain Hardik Pandya might have received a lot of hate for not allowing young Tilak Varma to complete his fifty, but he made sure that he made his fans happy and end their day on a jubilant note after the third T20I against West Indies at Guyana. 

Hardik Pandya’s heartwarming gesture came after the girl was hit when the Indian captain was having a net session ahead of the third game. One of the shots from the all-rounder had hit the girl and he immediately sent the BCCI’s medical team to check up on her. The skipper then also told her to stay in the stadium until the game was over.

As the game ended, Hardik Pandya was seen signing the match ball and then going towards the stands and giving it to his young fan girl, who was jubilant after receiving the gift from the all-rounder. In the video that has gone viral on the internet, the all-rounder can be seen rushing towards her.

Coming to the match, India after suffering two back-to-back losses in the first two games, made a staggering comeback in the third match. They batted and bowled exceptionally well and won the game by the margin of 7 wickets to mark their first win of the series. 

Hardik Pandya played a pivotal role in India’s win in the third game. He bowled three economical overs and then with the bat chipped in with a vital knock. He scored unbeaten 20 runs off 15 balls and helped his side win the game inside 18 overs.

Hardik Pandya also spoke about India’s win in the third T20I. He said that it was important for them to win the game. He also talked about how they addressed the young players after two losses. Speaking during the post-match presentation, he said: 

“Very important (to win). We spoke as a group that these three games will be exciting. Two losses or two wins does not change the long-term plans. We have to show we are ready when it comes to such (must-win) games. As a group we have decided to bat with seven batters and we have to take responsibility, like it happened today if the batters score runs then you don’t need someone at number eight. As Surya mentioned, they (SKY and Tilak) play together and spend time together, good to have someone like SKY in the team and when he takes responsibility it sends a message to the others.”

The series between India and West Indies currently stands at 2-1 with the hosts in the lead. The 4th T20I between the teams will take place on Saturday (12th September) in Florida.
