IND-W vs AUS-W: Alyssa Healy Becomes First-Ever Australia Cricketer To Achieve This Special Milestone

Australian Women skipper Alyssa Healy achieved a special milestone for the national team. She became the first player from Australia (both men and women) to be part of the 150 games in the T20I format.
Alyssa Healy achieved the feat during the ongoing third T20I against India women at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. As she took the field, she became the most capped Australian player in the shortest format of the game.
Alyssa Healy so far is having a great game as a skipper of the team. She won the toss and put Indian women into the bat first. She made brilliant bowling changes and her team repaid her faith.
India women had a great start with the bat, thanks to Shefali Varma (26), and Smriti Mandhana (29). They added 39 runs for the opening partnership but Australia women made a sensational comeback, thanks to the heroics of bowlers and brilliant captaincy by Alyssa Healy.
Australia women picked wickets in quick succession of time and reduced the India women to 66/4. But a blistering knock by Richa Ghosh (34) made sure that Indian women posted a competitive total on the board. Her knock along with Amanjot Kaur’s (17*) cameo in the end powered the hosts to a total of 147 runs.
Australian bowlers were right on the money. Annabel Sutherland was the best bowler for the team with the figures of 2/12. Georgia Wareham also chipped in with two scalps whereas Megan Schutt and Ashleigh Gardner bagged one scalp each.
Alyssa Healy then provided a great start with the bat to Australian women. The skipper played some magnificent shots at the start of the innings and put Indian women under pressure with his batting. She made sure that visitors got an opening partnership of over 80 runs.
Alyssa Healy scored 38 runs off 26 balls before she was removed by Pooja Vastrakar. But the umpire didn’t have conclusive evidence and she survived. The opening batter then went on to slam a magnificent half-century in his 150th game. With the way, she is playing she has almost sealed the game for the team.
The series between the two teams is leveled at 1-1 so far. However, with the kind of display, Australia Women has shown in the game, they are all set to win the series by the margin of 2-1.

India women’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur is the player who has played most T20Is. She has featured in 161 games. New Zealand batter Suzie Bates also is on the list at the second spot with 152 games under her belt.
Danni Wyatt from England has featured in 151 games whereas Alyssa Healy became the fourth women cricketer to play 150 games. Her teammate Ellyse Perry is also on the verge of achieving the same feat as she has played 148 games and is just two games away from getting 150 caps.
