The video of the same was posted by the official ‘X’ handle of the Australia women’s cricket team. The caption read, “Alyssa Healy, what a woman.”

Alyssa Healy also spoke regarding the incident after the match and revealed that it was not her camera and she pushed the cameramen back to capture the Indian team.

“It wasn’t my camera. I was just pushing the cameramen back. So I thought I’d allow one of them to get up there nice and close. But I actually cut out half of the Indian team by accident. So I don’t think you’ll be using that one (laughs),” the Australian skipper said.

Focusing on the match, Australia women while batting first in Mumbai were restricted to 219 runs courtesy of a 50-run knock by Tahlia McGrath and a 40-run innings by Beth Mooney. Alyssa Healy also chipped in with 38 runs but at last, the Aussies had a surrender in front of the Indian bowlers.

Indian pacer Pooja Vastrakar picked up a four-wicket haul followed by Sneh Rana’s three fer. Batting first the Indian women put up a splendid batting show as it was opener Smriti Mandhana and all-rounder Deepti Sharma scoring 74 and 78 runs respectively and took India Women to 406 runs. Jemimah Rodrigues also contributed with 73 runs.

It was the same old story for the Aussies during the second innings as they got wrapped up for 261 runs. Tahlia McGrath once again top-scored with 73 runs whereas Ellyse Perry ended up scoring 45. It was Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who was able to get the wickets of Perry and McGrath and put the Indian team back in the match.

Chasing down 75 runs was not difficult for the India women and they achieved the target with eight wickets in hand. Smriti Mandhana remained unbeaten on 38 runs. Sneh Rana was adjudged the Player of the Match for picking up seven wickets in the whole match.

It was a second straight win for India women in a Test match as they defeated England by 347 runs which was their highest win margin against any team in a Test match.

The Indian women’s team under Harmanpreet Kaur has developed a lot in the past few years and have produced match winners such as Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Varma, Sneh Rana, Deepti Sharma and Pooja Vastrakar.
