IND-W vs AUS-W: Watch: Harmanpreet Kaur Gets Engaged In A Fiery Face-Off With Alyssa Healy

India Women captain Harmanpreet Kaur looked in an intense mood in the ongoing one-off Test against Australia in Mumbai. The skipper got engaged in a heated face-off with her Australia counterpart Alyssa Healy on Day 3 of the match. 

The one-off Test between India Women and Australia Women is inching towards an exciting end. There has been an enthralling competition between bat and ball and both the teams have put on a high-class brand cricket to entertain fans. 

While the competition between bat and ball has been high, there has been no shortage of heated moments between the teams. The captains of both the teams, Harmanpreet Kaur and Alyssa Healy led from the front in the battle and their face-off has hogged the headlines. 

During the third innings of the game, Harmanpreet Kaur was bowling to Alyssa Healy. The Australian captain, who earlier survived a DRS call, defended the ball back to the Indian skipper by coming down the track. It didn’t amaze the host captain at all. 

Harmanpreet Kaur immediately grabbed the ball and threw it back to Alyssa Healy as she saw the batter out of the crease. The Australian captain brought her bat out and the ball deflected for four, which frustrated the Indian captain more. 

However, on the very next ball. Harmanpreet Kaur trapped Alyssa Healy in LBW and the Indian captain was pumped up. That was absolute scenes and the crowd at the stadium went berserk after that.

Harmanpreet Kaur chipped in quite beautifully for her side with the ball. When it seemed that Australia would take the game way, the captain bowled an incredible spell of spin bowling and brought her team back into the game. 

Harmanpreet Kaur picked two wickets in the 9 overs she bowled and helped her side put Australia under pressure. The game is heading towards the exciting final day with all three results possible. 

Harmanpreet Kaur’s teammate Deepti Sharma touted her captain as a player with a golden arm. She highlighted how she always chips in with the ball when the team is in a tough situation. She stated: 

“Harry di (Harmanpreet) has a golden arm,” said Deepti. Whenever she bowls, she gets a wicket. I remember, even in the 50-over World Cup in New Zealand she got a wicket as soon as she came to bowl. She is always ready to bowl. Whenever there is a tough situation like this when all the bowlers are bowling, you need a magical bowler to get a wicket. The partnership was building and we got a wicket at that time.”

Deepti Sharma also opened up about the fight between Harmanpreet Kaur and Alyssa Healy. She stated that such things happen in the heat of the moment and she won’t speak much on that. 

“See these things happen in the heat of the moment in cricket. The throw didn’t matter to us, we were just focussed on where to bowl and how to get wickets. I won’t speak much on that.” 

Australia Women currently have the lead of 46 runs in the third innings with 5 wickets in hand. India Women would be hoping to take those scalps as soon as possible and then chase the target to register the win.
