Former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg expressed his views on the upcoming India vs England 2nd Test match at Lord’s in London. The former Aussie spinner feels that India is a better team than England on paper. Hogg also mentioned that the upcoming Lord’s Test is the biggest match of the series.
India and England are set to lock horns in the 2nd Test of the 5-Match Test series starting on August 12 (Thursday). The encounter is scheduled to be played at the Home of Cricket i.e. Lord’s cricket stadium. After the conclusion of 1st Test, the series stands at 0-0.
India vs England 1st Test ended in a draw after rain washed out the entire Day 5. On Day 5, the Virat Kohli-led India needed 157 more runs to win while the Joe Root-led England needed 9 wickets for victory.

Lord’s Test Is the Biggest Match Of India vs England Series: Brad Hogg
While speaking on his Youtube video, Brad Hogg asserted that Lord’s Test is the most crucial game of the series, and if India wins the match, they have a big chance of whitewashing England.
“On paper, India are a better team than England. This particular Lord’s Test match is the biggest threat they are going to have in the series. If they win this, they have a big chance of whitewashing England. If they lose this, it will create a little bit of a doubt and give England an opportunity to really get on top and take the series away from India. This is the biggest match of the series,” Brad Hogg said.

The former Chinaman bowler Brad Hogg also pointed out that James Anderson will be a big threat for Indian batsmen in the Lord’s Test.
“The threat for India in the game is James Anderson bowling in from the Pavilion End. He will swing the ball away attacking the fourth stump line and use the slope to seam it back in. Indian batsmen will have to play more balls in this vicinity than leaving it because they will be worried about the seam movement coming in,” Hogg further said.

Last time, India faced England at Lord’s in a Test match during the 2nd game of the 2018 tour. Under the leadership of Virat Kohli, the Indian team surrendered for just 107 and 130 in both innings.
England, with 396-7 on the scoreboard in the 1st innings, swept away a comfortable victory by an innings and 159 runs. English pacer James Anderson picked 9 wickets in the match, showcasing his deadly pace attack against India.
