No crowd will be allowed in the stadium in Team India’s upcoming home series against England as the entire rubber is set to take place in a bio-secure environment.

England is all set to travel to India to take part in a full series consisting of four Tests, five Twenty20 Internationals, and three ODIs between February 05-March 28.

Initially, there were reports that a certain number of fans might be allowed in the stadiums of Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Pune given the fact that the Central government has given the nod to people attending sporting events with coronavirus weakening in the country.

However, the BCCI does not want to take any chance with the home season being so close. Both sides will be undergoing hard quarantine before the series gets underway.

“The teams will be in hard quarantine. BCCI doesn’t want to take any chance with the home season so close. So, crowds will not be allowed,” the BCCI official said.

It has also been learned that Team India players, who have been in a bio-bubble since the start of August, will be allowed to go home and spend time with their respective families before they re-join the bubble again
