India's hunt for a jersey sponsor has come to an end as Apollo Tyres has been roped in as the new sponsor of the side, following Dream11's exit after the introduction of the online gaming act in 2025.

Team India were previously sponsored by Dream11; however, their deal was immediately cancelled after the government introduced their Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025, which impacted the brand and its operations to a large extent. The BCCI started looking for fresh sponsors since then.

India is currently playing in the Asia Cup, but they went into the continental championship without a sponsor after Dream11's exit. Amid the championship, the Indian team have signed the deal.

Apollo Tyres roped in as the new sponsor of the Indian Team

As per reports in The Times of India, Apollo Tyres will be the new jersey sponsor of the Indian team. They will be shelling out approximately INR 4.5 crore per game, significantly increased from the previous INR 4 crore per game, which Dream11 used to pay.

The sponsorship period is set to run from 2025 to 2027, with as many as 130 fixtures falling in that period for the Indian team. As per the same report, Canva and JK Tyres were among the other bidders who came to the table.

The bidding process was underway, and the new sponsors were finalized on the 16th of September. The BCCI had invited bids for Expression of Interest for the Indian team's title sponsor rights on September 2nd.

The Indian cricket board, BCCI, made it clear that gaming, betting, crypto and tobacco brands were prohibited from bidding. Athleisure and sportswear manufacturers, banking, financial companies, non-alcoholic cold beverages, fans, mixer grinders, safety locks, and insurance companies were also not eligible.

India has made it to the Super-4 stage of the Asia Cup 2025

India is currently playing in the Asia Cup and have been grouped alongside Pakistan, UAE and Oman in Group A. India won the first game against the United Arab Emirates in commanding fashion, as they saw a hike in their run rate.

Next against Pakistan, India have registered another dominating performance and with their commanding win, they have qualified for the Super-4 stage as the first team in the points table. They will play their last game against Oman on the 19th of September.

India is likely to advance to the Australia tour with the new sponsor-tagged jerseys

After the Asia Cup 2025 ends on the 28th of September, the Indian team have their next series scheduled on the 2nd of October. It will mark the West Indies side visiting the Indian nation for a red-ball series.

Following their home series, India will travel to Australia for a long white-ball series, which will include both the T20I and the ODI series. The series is another highly anticipated contest between the two giants of world cricket.

The new sponsors, Apollo Tyres, might be seen as the jersey sponsor for the upcoming events for India, though the new jerseys are yet to be unveiled.
