With the Indian spin-bowling all-rounder Krunal Pandya testing positive for Covid-19, the second T20I between hosts Sri Lanka and Team India has been postponed till Wednesday.
The second T20I between Sri Lanka and India was scheduled to take place in Colombo on Tuesday, July 27.
However, with Krunal Pandya testing positive for the deadly contagion, all the players, officials, and support staff have been forced to go into isolation.
The game will now take place on Wednesday provided each and every member tests negative for Covid.
“Krunal has tested positive and the T20I on Tuesday has been postponed and will happen on Wednesday if all the others test negative. The players are currently isolating,” the source said as quoted by ANI.

With coronavirus hitting the Indian camp in Sri Lanka, doubts will now emerge on the viability and possibility of sending Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav to England as injury replacements ahead of the Test series.
The BCCI and the Virat Kohli-led team management will hope that both Shaw and Sky return negative for the virus because if they don’t, the board and the management will have to look at other players for replacement.
This is the second international game in the past week that has been affected due to the Wuhan virus.
Earlier, the second ODI between West Indies and Australia was rescheduled after a member of the team management meant tested positive for Covid.
The ODI was eventually played after all players, officials and members of support staff were isolated and tested.
Covid has already plagued the Virat Kohli- Indians in the UK. Earlier this month, Rishabh Pant had tested positive for Covid while throwdown specialist Garani also met the same fate two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, the Shikhar Dhawan–led India is currently leading the three-match T20I series 1-0 after having won the first game by a comfortable margin.
