Team India will recreate memories of the 2007 T20 World Cup win as they will have an open bus parade in Mumbai after returning home being the T20 World Cup champions.

India defeated South Africa by seven runs in the T20 World Cup final to win the T20 World Cup title after 17 years. It was India's first ICC title in 11 years.

The victorious Indian team landed in Delhi on Thursday morning after being stuck for two in the Caribbean after their World Cup win due to Hurricane Beryl that hit Barbados.

The members of the Indian team will reside at the ITC Maurya Hotel in Central Delhi and leave almost immediately to meet PM Narendra Modi. His residence is just 10 minutes away from the hotel. The meeting with the PM will happen in two batches.

First, the Indian players will meet the PM followed by his meeting with the support staff. The meeting will start at 9.30 am after which the players and the support staff will fly back to Mumbai for the roadshow.

The roadshow will start at the Air India Building at the iconic Nariman Point and will culminate with a gathering at the Wankhede where the team will be felicitated by the BCCI. As per reports, the bus parade will start at 4.30 pm IST.

The open bus parade roadshow will surely create memories of the 2007 World Cup win when the victorious Indian team under MS Dhoni also had a similar thing in Mumbai. Rohit Sharma and his players are expected also to feel something similar.

Rohit Sharma was very emotional after India's T20 World Cup win. He spoke about how badly he wanted to win it before the match and even in the post-match press conference. He also sounded very excited about the event in Mumbai and about meeting the PM with the entire team.
