High-flying Team India would be eyeing another win when they take on England in the second T20I of the ongoing five-match series. The game is scheduled to be played on Saturday (January 25) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

The Men in Blue have taken the lead in the series after a clinical 7-wicket win in the first T20I at the Eden Gardens. The Men in Blue completely outplayed England in the series opener to register the comfortable win. Asked to bat first, England could only manage 132 runs even after their skipper Jos Buttler's 68-run knock.

Apart from Buttler, no other England batter could even reach the 20-run mark. For India, Varun Chakravarthy picked up 3 wickets while Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh, and Axar Patel claimed two wickets apiece.

With the bat, the Men in Blue chased down the total inside 13 overs by losing just 3 wickets. Opener Abhishek Sharma starred with the bat, smashing 79 off just 34 balls.

With the Men in Blue now eyeing a 2-0 lead in the series, we are taking a look at the India Playing 11 for the second IND vs ENG T20I.

India Playing 11 vs England - 2nd T20I, England tour of India 2025:

Openers: Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (wk)

Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson will continue to be the openers in the Playing 11 after impressing once again. They came out all guns blazing and ended England's slim chances of turning things around in the game.

Samson set the tone by smashing Gus Atkinson for 22 runs in the second over including 4 fours and a six. He departed after scoring 26 runs while Sharma went on to smash a blistering fifty. The southpaw eventually scored 79 runs off just 34 balls. He played a flashy knock studded with 5 fours and 8 sixes.

Middle-order batsmen and allrounders: Suryakumar Yadav (c), Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Rinku Singh, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Axar Patel

While the Men in Blue registered a comfortable win over England, captain Suryakumar Yadav had a forgetful game. The right-handed batsman departed for a duck and he will be keen to lead the team from the front in the upcoming second T20I.

In-form Tilak Varma played an unbeaten knock of 19 runs off 16 balls. With Sharma going all out at the other end, Varma played the role of second fiddle to perfection. Hardik Pandya did not have much to do with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 3. With the ball, he picked up 2 wickets and will be eyeing another good show in the upcoming game.

Rinku Singh and Nitish Reddy did not get the chance to bat but were very impressive in the field. Axar Patel did not get the chance to bat either but made a big impact with the ball. He picked up 2 wickets for 22 runs while also bowling a maiden over.

Bowlers: Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakravarthy

While the fans would have liked Mohammed Shami in India Playing 11 for the second T20I, the team management could have decided against it. With conditions in Chennai expected to assist the spinners more, it won't be surprising if India plays the game with the same combination - one frontline pacer and two specialist spinners.

Arshdeep will be the only pacer in the team and will look to give India another good start after taking 2 wickets in the powerplay in the first game. On the other hand, Chakravarthy and Bishnoi will be the two specialist pacers with Axar being another option.

The hosts won the 1st game comfortably and they will look to extend their lead in the series further with a win in Chennai.
