India will be up against England in the fourth Test of the IND vs ENG five-match Test series 2025. This article provides details about India's Playing 11 vs England for the fourth match of the series.
India Playing 11 vs England- 4th Test, India Tour of England 2025:
Openers: KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal
India will open the batting with the opening combination of Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul for the do-or-die match against England.
The pair has done a fine job so far as far as the partnership for the first wicket is concerned, with them being able to negotiate the threat of the new ball in at late half of the innings that they have played.
Having said that, both batters were not able to get the team off to a good start in the second innings of the last Test at Lord's while chasing a target of 193 runs.
Jaiswal was the first to go as he played a nothing shot against Archer late on day four, and Rahul, although he held one end but wasn't able to break the shackles and was eventually dismissed on the final day.
The story has been such that Yashasvi and KL haven't been able to see off the pressure created by the English bowlers later in the match, and will look to get things in the entire match at Old Trafford.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Karun Nair, Shubman Gill (c), Sai Sudharshan, Dhruv Jurel (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar
India's middle order is set to go under a major revamp with the uncertainty over the availability of Rishabh Pant and Nitish Kumar Reddy, who have been ruled out of the series due to injury.
The Indian team could witness the return of Sai Sudharshan, who was dropped after the first Test. Dhruv Jurel could also find a place in the XI as a wicketkeeper batter.
The rest of the batting lineup is expected to remain the same, with responsibility on the shoulders of captain Shubma. Gill and Karun Nair to help the team post an above-par total while batting first.
The Shubman Gill-led side might again go in with two spin bowling all-rounders, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar, to strengthen their batting.
Bowlers: Anshul Kamboj, Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah
Like the batting, the bowling lineup would be without the services of Akash Deep, who, in all certainty, will be rested after an injury that he might have picked up during the last match at Lord's.
Akash Deep is predicted to be replaced by Anshul Kamboj, who has been added to the squad as Arshdeep's cover, who was in line to replace Bumrah for the next match to manage his workload, but seemed to have also been carrying an injury.
The injury to Arshdeep and Akash Deep means that Bumrah is all set to play the second consecutive Test in the ongoing series and will lead the pace attack.
Bumrah will be partnered by Siraj, who has bowled his heart out in the three matches and will look to do the same in the fourth game.
The injury to Nitish Kumar Reddy has come at the wrong time for the Indian management, as they will have to make the tough call of either playing Shardul Thakur at number eight or going with an extra batter.
The spin bowling department will be handled by Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar.
