Team India will tour Australia for a blockbuster white-ball series consisting of three ODIs and five T20Is in late 2025. The series will begin in October and will end within the first ten days of November.

The Men in Blue will play all eight matches in eight different venues in Australia. India will also enter the series as the defending champions of the recent ICC events in both the T20I and the ODI format.

They won the T20 World Cup 2024 last year and recently emerged as the winners of the Champions Trophy 2025 as well. In both the tournaments, they beat Australia in the semi-finals.

India set to tour Australia for white-ball series

The tour will begin on October 19 with a three-match ODI series. The three ODIs will be played in Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney respectively. All of these will be day-night encounters.

After the final ODI on October 25, the two teams will lock horns with each other in a five-match T20I series, which begins on October 29 in Canberra. The next four T20Is will be played in Melbourne, Hobart, Gold Coast and Brisbane.

The tour will conclude with the final T20I at The Gabba, Brisbane on November 8. It is expected to be a thrilling series of T20Is and ODIs between two of the best white-ball teams of recent times.

It will be the first time that a season will feature at least one international game in all the eight Australian states and territories. Hence, the upcoming summer will be highly important for Australian cricket.

CA expects a thrilling cricketing season

Cricket Australia's chief executive Todd Greenberg expects the upcoming season to be an engrossing one. He also thanked the country's government and all the partners who will be involved in the smooth conduct of the matches.

"We smashed many records for attendance, viewing audiences and digital engagement last summer and we're confident that this incredible momentum will continue throughout what promises to be an engrossing season," Greenberg stated.

"We are extremely grateful for the cooperation and support of all our government, venue, broadcast and commercial partners who ensure Australia's national sport continues to deliver brilliant experiences in stadiums and drive participation across the country," he added.

India's last tour of Australia

India toured Australia for a five-match Test series just last year in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The Men in Blue won the first Test of the series but ended up losing the series to the home side 1-3.

Both the teams have produced some excellent cricket in white-ball formats recently, especially against each other. Australia defeated India in the ODI World Cup 2023 final but the Men in Blue gave it back by defeating Australia in the 2025 Champions Trophy semi-final.

In the T20 World Cup 2024 played last year, India beat Australia in a crucial game to knock them out of the tournament.
