India National Cricket Team were all set to lock horns with the Prime Minister's XI ahead of the Adelaide Test, which will be a pink-ball game. The warm-up game was scheduled to start on Saturday (30th November) at Canberra's Manuka Oval.

However, the rain gods had other plans, and the opening day of the warmup game was washed out due to the rain. With the weather ruining the first day, the India National Cricket Team and the Prime Minister's XI will now be locking horns with each other in the one-day game.

Prime Minister's XI v India day two session times

First innings: 2.40 pm-6.10 pm

Interval: 6.10 pm-6.40 pm

Second innings: 6.40 pm-10.10 pm

The match would be extremely important for Rohit Sharma and his team because they had a torrid time with the bat the last time they played a pink-ball ball game against the Australia National Cricket Team. They were bundled out for just 36 runs at the Adelaide Oval in 2020 as Australia pacers wreaked havoc across the India batting lineup.

The practice game will be essential for the skipper Rohit Sharma as well as the young gun Shubman Gill. Both the batters missed the first match against the Australia National Cricket Team which took place at the Optus Stadium in Perth last week.

The visitors started the tour on high as they thumped the Australia National Cricket Team by a massive margin of 295 runs. They were sensational with the bat and ball as they made the opposition batters and bowlers look clueless in the entire game.

It can be two different games in one game - Scot Boland on the warm-up game against India

Scot Boland, who has been drafted into the Australia team for the second Test in place of Josh Hazlewood will apart be part of the Prime Minister's XI. He spoke about the match and said:

“It can be two different games in one game. Like when you bowl during the day and the sun is out, it doesn’t do a whole lot, and then you get to the night session, and the ball starts moving around a bit.”
