The Women in Blue will be desperate to win the upcoming match to return to winning ways. Their winning start to the tournament came to an end with a heartbreaking defeat against South Africa in the previous outing.

Defending 252 runs, India had South Africa reeling at 81/5. However, Laura Wolvaardt's 70-run knock and Nadine de Klerk's unbeaten knock of 84 runs propelled South Africa to a stunning 3-wicket win in the end. Australia, on the other hand, are still unbeaten in the tournament. However, batting collapse is a matter of concern for them as well. In their last outing, they were reeling at 76/7 against Pakistan before a century from Beth Mooney guided them to 221 runs. In the end, Australia won the match by 107 runs to extend their unbeaten run in the competition.
