Any action on day two of the ongoing second India vs Bangladesh Test at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur is highly unlikely to take place.
Rain washed out the entire morning session as the lunch was called without a single ball being delivered. The rain showed little sign of relenting as the day progressed. And even though the umpires are yet to call off the day, players of both teams have reportedly left the stadium for the team hotel.
A video shared online shows the Indian team leaving the stadium for the team hotel via the team bus. Later, ESPNcricinfo reported that the Bangladesh team has left the stadium as well for the team hotel. With both the teams back in the hotel, it is more than likely that no action will take place on day two of the IND vs BAN Test.

Apart from the rain, the wet outfield is another issue. Kanpur has faced heavy rain in the last couple of days and the outfield is not at all fit for the game to take place. It will take a herculean effort from the groundsmen to make the field fit for the game to go ahead.
India vs Bangladesh Test marred by rain:
While no bowl has been bowled on day one of the India vs Bangladesh Test, only 35 overs were bowled on the opening day. After a delayed start due to rain and a wet outfield, India skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first. It was the first time since 2015 that India opted to field first in a home Test.
Asked to bat first in challenging conditions, Bangladesh lost their openers - Zakir Hasan (0) and Shadman Islam (24) cheaply. However, Mominul Haque and Najmul Hossain Shanto shared a 51-run stand for the third wicket to steady the ship. Bangladesh were on 107/3 when stumps were called on day one. Mominul and Mushfiqur Rahim were unbeaten.
Team India are currently leading the two-match India vs Bangladesh Test series after winning the first Test. The Rohit Sharma-led side won the series-opener in Chennai by 280 runs to take an unassailable lead. Set a target of 515 runs, Bangladesh were all out for only 234 runs. After the Test series, both the teams will be playing a three-match T20I series.
