Team India have won the toss in the second T20I at Ahmedabad and elected to bowl first. The England Cricket Team now leads the series by 1-0 with four games to go in hand. The English team won the first T20I by 8 wickets and put a lot of pressure on the hosts early in the series.

The Indian batsmen looked in all sorts of trouble during the first T20I as they failed to deliver the goods for the national side. On the contrary, the English bowlers were right on the cue for the visitors as they disseminated the entire Indian batting line up and stopped them to just 124 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Team India have won the toss in the second T20I at Ahmedabad and elected to bowl first. As far as the team news is concerned, the Indian team will go with the opening pair of Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul with Rohit Sharma being rested for the second game in a row. It is certain that Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan will be making their international debuts today.

Shreyas Iyer will most likely continue because of his brilliant batting showdown in the first T20I. Rishabh Pant also looked in good touch initially in the first T20I and he will also be a part of the hosts’ setup. Axar Patel has also been removed from the playing XI and Suryakumar Yadav has been added in the playing XI. England have rested Mark Wood and Tom Curran has been added to the squad.

The Hosts Will Like To Bounce Back In The Second Match

After having lost the first T20I, the hosts will certainly like to bounce back in the second T20I and level the five-match series 1-1. Shreyas Iyer looked the only effective batsman alongside Hardik Pandya the last time these two teams met and skipper Virat Kohli would like to lead from the front today with a mammoth of an innings.

After the conclusion of the five-match T20I series, both teams will play a 3-match ODI series which will take place entirely at Pune behind closed doors. The selection committee will meet on Sunday to announce the squad for the ODIs.
