Former England captain Michael Vaughan has stated that he won’t be surprised if the Indian skipper Virat Kohli scores a century in the Lord’s test to end his drought. It is true that the Lord’s ground is one of the most special venues in the world with the honour boards and a gentlemen’s dressing room.
It can agitate any cricketer in the world to perform to their highest level and Virat Kohli has been hunger for runs at the moment. He was dismissed for a golden duck in the previous test against England at the Trent Bridge in the first innings and he did not get to bat in the second innings. He is too good a player to not score international centuries for a long time and he will definitely get into the act soon.

Michael Vaughan Feels Lord’s Could Be An Inspiration For Virat Kohli
Michael Vaughan picked Virat Kohli to be the player to watch out for from India’s batter in the Lord’s test as he has been going through a quiet phase.
He highlighted the century drought of Virat Kohli in the last three years and added the feel of the Lord’s dressing room and the pavilion might just inspire to get the three-figure mark. He was confident that Virat is one of the greats of the game and he will love picking up his game on a great ground like Lord’s
“Virat Kohli hasn’t got a century in quite a while. Lord’s inspires players. Lord’s brings the tingles down the back of the neck as you walk through the Grace Gates.
“Great players get inspired by great grounds and great moments and it would not surprise me at all if Virat’s waving his bat for three figures,” Michael Vaughan told Cricbuzz in a video chat with Harsha Bhogle.

England Might Miss The Services Of Stuart Broad
England did not have the best of bowling efforts in the first test and they might be missing Stuart Broad for the second test as he has suffered a calf injury during the warm-up at Lord’s. Broad managed just the one wicket in the first test and Mark Wood is all set to replace him for the second test with his pace and swing.

Meanwhile, India might be facing injury issues as well with Shardul Thakur likely to miss out on the second test with hamstring niggles.
