The India vs Pakistan match, revealed after the schedule announcement for the Asia Cup 2025, has taken the internet by storm, as India fans have once again shown public outrage for any fixture between the two nations so soon after the heinous crime in Kashmir.

Now, one of the faces of the Indian government, a Member of Parliament from Jammu & Kashmir, has voiced her faith in the Indian government, which, according to her, might call off the game between the two nations.

However, it is to be confirmed that the Government of India had already given a green signal to the BCCI for any matches between India and Pakistan. They had also allowed the Pakistan Hockey Team to travel to India for the Asia Cup.

India might play against Pakistan 3 times in the Asia Cup 2025

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting held in Dhaka on the 24th of July, chaired by current Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, made a formal decision on the Asia Cup 2025 in the online presence of the BCCI officials.

With the Asia Cup 2025 being one of the major agendas in the meeting, the venue, the schedule, and likely the India vs Pakistan match were confirmed only after the approval of the BCCI. The India vs Pakistan match is scheduled to be held on the 14th of September.

However, even after the group-stage games, the two teams might face each other as they advance into the Super 4. Likely, if the two teams qualify for the finals, then it would be the third time they play each other in the Asia Cup 2025. However, the above-mentioned two matches are only possibilities as of now.

The matches will be hosted by India officially, but they are scheduled to take place in the UAE.

Indian MP voices for cancellation of India vs Pakistan match

India and Pakistan's probable clash in the Asia Cup has been a major disappointment for the Indian people and the ICT fans. Though there has been continuous outrage on social media over the decision made, now it gets the backing from a BJP Member of Parliament.

BJP leader Shagun Parihar said to ANI News, "This is a matter of the Central Government. Such a match was cancelled earlier as well. I think the government will take the same action again. Our government is capable, and through Operation Sindoor, a tough reply was given to Pakistan..."
The leader clearly showed her disagreement with the BCCI's decision; however, she expects an intrusion from the Indian government and dares to think that the GOI has some plans that differ from the Indian Cricket Board.

However, many players from the Indian Champions side decided to opt out of the game between India vs Pakistan, as a result of which the authorities of the WCL had to call off the game. Though this has nothing to do with the BCCI or the Indian government.
