Former Indian batsman Aakash Chopra has high hopes on Sanju Samson for his exceptional ability with the bat and expects him to come good soon in the international circuit. Samson had a good outing on his ODI debut in the final game against Sri Lanka with a well made 46 but perished off a soft dismissal.
Samson could manage just the 7 runs in the second T2oi when he tried to cut loose and he faced 13 balls which was the worst part. He did get a start in the first T20 scoring 27 off 20 balls but still has been short of the big score which is way below the amount of talent he possesses.

Aakash Chopra Backs Sanju Samson’s Capability With The Bat
Aakash Chopra wanted the Indian captain Shikhar Dhawan to continue the way he has been batting and hoped that Samson would get a big score soon. He explained that Samson has played just 9 games so far in T20Is and it is hard for him to match the massive expectations on him as a batsman.
“Shikhar Dhawan needs to keep playing in the sensible manner that he has been doing. I am still hopeful of Sanju Samson doing well. I know he is not batting at the position that he is comfortable at. Sanju Samson has only played nine matches. You have expectations from those players who, you know, have the capability,” Aakash Chopra told on his YouTube Channel.

Aakash Chopra Feels Samson Has Enough IPL Experience
Aakash Chopra believes that Samson has got the goods in him to deliver and felt that the right-hander has enough experience in IPL than the other cricketers to perform on the international stages. He reminded that Samson is the captain of the Rajasthan Royals and added that he has high hopes for him.
“Sanju Samson has that ability to perform. He is comparatively more experienced compared to the others, maybe not at the international level but definitely in the IPL. He has been playing the IPL for a long time and is even the captain of a franchise (Rajasthan Royals). I have high hopes from him,” he added.

Sanju Samson is the only wicketkeeper-batsman available for the third T20 International with Ishan Kishan being isolated and he will have another chance to prove his worth.
