India Will Lose To Pakistan In T20 Worldcup Final, Feels Shoaib Akthar

Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akthar has made a bold prediction of India losing to Pakistan in the T20 Worldcup final this year in UAE and it will be a huge effort if it does happen. The Rawalpindi Express has always been under the radar for giving out some critical views and predictions and he has been loved for doing that too.

Akthar who played 46 Tests, 163 ODIs, and 15 T20Is for Pakistan and picked up 178, 247, and 19 wickets respectively in the formats, is one of the greatest bowlers to have played the game. He recorded the fastest delivery in international cricket which was 161.3 Km/hr and he still holds the record despite retiring from the format.

Shoaib Akthar Reckons UAE Will Favour Both India And Pakistan

Shoaib Akthar had predicted the finalists of the T20 Worldcup to be a continuation of the India-Pakistan rivalry while adding that the men in green might pop ahead of India this time. He also stated about UAE conditions favouring the two subcontinent nations India and Pakistan, especially than the other teams. Virat Kohli’s men haven’t won an ICC trophy from 2013 and they will be itching to get their hands on the trophy this time.

“I have a feeling Pakistan and India will play in the T20 World Cup final and India will lose to Pakistan. Conditions in UAE will favour both India and Pakistan,” Shoaib Akthar told Sportstak on Youtube.

India’s Unbeaten Record Against Pakistan In Worldcup

India has an unbeaten run of 11-0 in Worldcups against Pakistan in the ODI as well as T20 formats and it is truly an unbelievable record. It started off in the 1992 Worldcup and until the 2016 T20 Worldcup, Pakistan hasn’t managed to get over the line against India on 11 occasions. Pakistan did beat India in the 2017 Champions Trophy final but still haven’t been able to muster a win against India in Worldcup.
