Virat Kohli's childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, has backed India to win the World Cup this time at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. He has just mentioned that though New Zealand have made all their way upto here playing some excellent brand of cricket, if India plays to their potential, this World Cup is ours.

After India marched into the finals against New Zealand, they have been given an upper hand to win the World Cup for the second consecutive time in back-to-back editions. The defending champions brought their campaign on track with Sanju Samson rekindling hope in the hearts of millions of Indian fans.

Rajkumar Sharma, the man who gave India one of its most shining stars, who would continue to glare in the eyes of thousands of Indians and inspire them to be cricketers someday, went on to declare India as the overall favourites in the contest.

"India will definitely win this match" - Virat Kohli's childhood coach drops a massive verdict

Before India takes on New Zealand in the ICC T20 World Cup final at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the anticipation has been very high for every Indian, be it former cricketers, cricket enthusiasts, fanatics, or even the coaches at different levels.

Indian veteran cricketer Virat Kohli's former coach Rajkumar Sharma gave his opinion on the subject to ANI. The star coach believes that India has every bit it takes to win this World Cup and hence, it feels that the World Cup is 'ours.'

Virat Kohli's childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, said, "Nothing can be said for sure in T20 cricket, but looking at our cricket team in the current scenario, it feels like this World Cup is ours. India will definitely win this match.

Virat Kohli's childhood coach backs Kuldeep Yadav over Varun Chakravarthy for World Cup final

Speaking of India's batting firepower, when the ANI reporter asked what he expected them to do in the final, Rajkumar Sharma claimed that he has high hopes for the Indian batters, and it is because they have immense batting depth, and all batters can level up to score at a strike rate not less than 150.

However, he also mentioned that the pitch at the Narendra Modi Stadium is not similar to the Wankhede Stadium. It won't be a batting track, but he hoped that the pitch had been prepared well ahead of such a crucial game, an ICC T20 World Cup final.

On being asked about India trying out Kuldeep Yadav instead of Varun Chakravarthy, after the trickster has failed to find his rhythm since the Super-8s, he said:

"Yes, that can be considered. In the last game, his (Varun's) confidence was so down that he started to bowl like a medium pacer. So if we really have a bowler like Kuldeep Yadav benched, who has such an amazing record, then if the team management feels Varun is short of confidence, then Kuldeep could be given a chance there."

The coach went on to praise Sanju Samson's splendid form in the format. He also claimed that with the kind of form he is in, if he plays a little longer for India, then it would emerge as a massive advantage for them.

Speaking of Abhishek Sharma's poor form in this T20 World Cup, he said, "It has been a bit unfortunate that Abhishek, who was India's best batter ahead of the World Cup, has not been able to keep up with that."

"But maybe today is his day, and he goes on to play a big knock in the final and win it for India," he added. Not only Rajkumar Sharma, but the entire nation would want every player in that lineup to step up on this occasion and do everything needed to take India to a historic win.
