The India women's team's Future Tours Program (FTP) for the next cycle, from 2025 to 2029, was unveiled by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday (November 4). The governing body of the game announced the full FTP cycle for the 2025-2029 phase.
One of the biggest developments is the addition of a new team in the ICC Women's Championship. While 10 teams participated in the current cycle, the number will increase to 11 after the addition of Zimbabwe. The ICC stated that the decision to add Zimbabwe is a 'significant step toward broader global representation in women’s cricket'.
In the new cycle of the Women's Championship, each team will be playing four home and four away series. There will be a total of 44 series in the new FTP cycle. With each series containing three matches, a total of 132 ODIs will be played in the upcoming championship. The Championship will conclude with the 2029 Cricket World Cup.
