Indian team is all set for their next cricket assignment, which is a five-match Test series against England. For the away tour against the English side, the Indian squad under skipper Virat Kohli comprises the best combination of Indian bowlers and batsmen.

However, Praveen Kumar showcased a brilliant performance, picking 15 wickets in 5 innings. The Indian bowler only played 3 matches out of 4 during the series. The right-arm pacer had a bowling average of 29.53 and also picked a five-wicket haul in the 1st Test and a four-wicket haul in the 2nd Test. His best bowling figure in a match was 7/169, which he bagged in the 2nd Test.

Zaheer Khan- 18 (2007 Test Series)

Zaheer Khan is another Indian bowler with an astonishing show against England in an away Test series. During India vs England Test series in 2007, the former Indian cricketer picked 18 wickets in 6 innings. Zaheer Khan had an average of 20.33 during the tour and attained his best bowling figures of 9/134 in the 2nd Test, which India won.

The right-arm pacer picked 4 and 5 wickets in both innings. India played 3 Tests against England during the tour and managed to win the series 1-0 after winning the 2nd Test. The rest two matches ended in a draw. For his amazing bowling show, Khan was adjudged player of the series as well.

Ishant Sharma- 18 (2018 Test Series)

Ishant Sharma picked 18 wickets for India during the team’s Test tour to England in 2018. The Indian bowler picked 18 wickets in 9 innings at an average of 24.27. The right-arm pacer picked a five-wicket haul in the 2nd innings of the 2nd Test, coming up with his best bowling figures of 6/97 in the match.

India played 5 Test matches against England during the tour. The Virat Kohli-led Indian side managed to win only 1 match during the series, while the Joe Root-led England clinched the series 4-1 in their favour.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar- 19 (2014 Test Series)

Indian bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has picked most wickets in an away Test series against England. During India’s 2014 Test tour against the English side, the right-arm pacer scalped 19 wickets in 7 innings at an average of 26.63. The Indian pacer picked five-wicket hauls in two matches.

During the tour, India played 5 Test matches against England. The MS Dhoni-led Indian side managed to win 1 match, while 3 ended in England’s favour. 1 match ended in a draw. Along with England’s James Anderson, Bhuvneshwar Kumar won the player of the series award for his astonishing bowling show.
