The Global Power Cricket League (GPCL) is set to take the cricketing world by storm in its inaugural season, which will be held in Delhi from October 2 to October 9, 2022.
The organisers want to attract as many fans as possible, so they have signed a number of marquee international cricketers.

Munaf Patel, India’s 2011 World Cup winner, will lead Indian Sapphires in the T20 tournament, and is one of the marquee players in the inaugural edition of GPCL.
Munaf, 39, has a wealth of experience, having played 13 Tests, 70 ODIs, and three T20Is for India. He took 125 wickets in international cricket and was instrumental in India’s World Cup victory in 2011.

Furthermore, the Indian Sapphires team has signed a slew of promising players, ensuring that the average age of the squad does not exceed 25 years. Playing under Munaf Patel and rubbing shoulders with other veteran campaigners will undoubtedly benefit the youngsters.

Indian Sapphires are in Pool A for the inaugural GPCL T20, alongside English Reds, Scottish Mulberries, and American Indigos. On October 2, they will launch their campaign against American Indigos.
