India Women’s National Cricket Team scripts history as they register their first-ever Test win against Australia Women’s Team. Australia won the toss and captain Alyssa Healy decided to bat first at Wankhede. India bundled Australia for 219 in the first innings and then went on to score 406 in their first innings.

Australia Women were bundled after scoring 261 in their second innings giving a target of 74 runs which was easily chased by India under 20 overs with eight wickets to spare. Sneh Rana was awarded the Player of the Match for her stunning display with the ball taking seven wickets in the entire match. Smriti Mandhana was the batting hero for India as she scored 74 in the first innings and 38 in the second innings to chase the game easily.

Fans express their delight over Women In Blue winning their first match against Australia in the whites. Alyssa Healy was pretty confident about her team’s ability to play spin ahead of the match. However, India registered an easy win against Australia. This win comes only a week after India defeated England in a one-sided affair winning the Test by an innings.
