For the middle order, India might pick Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and Suryakumar Yadav in their squad for ICC World Cup 2023. Kohli has regained his amazing form in ODIs since the start of 2023. In 10 games, he has slammed 427 runs averaging 53.37, and has slammed 2 half-centuries.

Shreyas Iyer has recovered from his back injury and is now getting match ready. He is likely to be part of the World Cup. Before his injury, the right-handed batter played 3 ODIs games this year and piled up 94 runs in 3 games.

Despite his poor batting show in ODIs with 127 runs across 10 games, Suryakumar Yadav might get a chance in the squad in ICC World Cup 2023. The right-handed batsman showed marvelous form in T20Is and IPL 2023 this year. In Asia Cup 2023, he might come up with an impressive batting show to get a place in the World Cup squad.

The right-handed batter has already started net practice. Till ICC World Cup 2023, he is highly likely to be all set to take the field. Sanju Samson might be picked as another wicketkeeper. He scored a half-century in a recent game against West Indies. Last year, the right-handed batsman held an average of 71+ in 10 ODI games.
