Inzamam-ul-Haq To Resolve Dispute Over Central Contract Between Pakistan Players And PCB - Reports

Pakistan Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq is going to resolve the dispute between Pakistan players and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) over central contracts. According to reports, PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf had a chat with Inzamam-ul-Haq to step into the matter and find a solution.
The dispute relates to central contracts offered by PCB to players. Pakistan players have signed central contracts with the board that pay A Category players 45 lakh each. However, players have expressed dissatisfaction due to significant tax deductions.
Pakistan Players Want Share Of Revenue From ICC
As a result, players have demanded a portion of the revenue received by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) from the International Cricket Council (ICC) in their central contracts. Notably, PCB hasn’t given salaries to players for the last four months and the board is working to release the salaries as soon as possible.
Recently, Pakistan players also threatened to boycott sponsor logos and promotional activities during the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023 in India if their demands are not met. Players have restricted themselves to silent protests so far.
Inzamam-ul-Haq To Step In To Resolve Dispute Between Players And PCB- Reports
However, according to reports, the dispute is going to be resolved in the next few days with Inzamam-ul-Haq stepping into the matter. Inzamam-ul-Haq and Pakistan players share the same agent and hence, a resolution in the matter is expected soon.
PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf has given authority to Inzamam-ul-Haq to negotiate with the players and find a solution to the matter. According to reports, PCB is expected to increase players’ salaries in central contracts.
Babar Azam To Lead Pakistan In ICC World Cup 2023
Meanwhile, Pakistan will soon arrive in India to participate in ICC World Cup 2023. Recently Pakistan failed to arrive with a good show in Asia Cup 2023, where they failed to reach the final after losing to India and Sri Lanka during Super Four round.
Recently, Pakistan revealed their World Cup squad. Babar Azam is the skipper of Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2023. The men-in-green will play their opening match against the Netherlands on October 6.
