The 2016 IPL winners SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) have retained their major players from the IPL 2020, where they finished as the third best team. So, the IPL 2021 auction will only can help them to strengthen their bench.

Recently, SunRisers Hyderabad have only released Billy Stanlake, Sandeep Bavanaka, Fabian Allen, Sanjay Yadav and Prithviraj Yarra. While they have only three slots available ahead of the IPL 2021 auction, only one of these is overseas slot.

While SunRisers Hyderabad have already fulfilled major part of their side, addition of an Indian spinner, a middle-order batsman and an Indian all-rounder will definitely make their squad stronger for the IPL 2021.

The 23-year-old Haryana cricketer Shivam Chauhan is not a big familiar name currently. However, he has just impressed as a top-middle-order batsman during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2020/21. The right-handed batsman scored 214 runs in five innings with an average of 53.50 and strike-rate of 125.88, including one half-century. He has the ability to spent a good time in the crease and move the scoreboard in control way. In the recent SMAT, he scored 30+ runs in all the five innings, including three 40+ scores.

Shivam can be also used as a right-arm medium pacer occasionally. While SRH mostly struggle in the middle-order batting, Shivam can be a good option for them. So, they can put an eye on this youngster in the IPL 2021 auction.

Piyush Chawla

Yes SunRisers Hyderabad already have the Afghanistan spin-bowling allrounders Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi. But talking about their Indian spinner, SRH have only Shahbaz Nadeem. While another Indian spinner can provide better option for them, they can target to bring the experienced Indian leg-spinner Piyush Chawla.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) recently released Chawla, who got 6 wickets in seven matches during the IPL 2020. But everyone must has to remember that Chawla is the third most wicket-taker in IPL history as he has picked up 16 wickets in 164 IPL matches. Once he was an important member for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He was also a crucial member of KKR’s IPL 2014 trophy winning.

Though Chawla is currently not in a good form, he can play a good supportive role anytime. In the IPL 2021 auction, Chawla can be a good selection for SunRisers Hyderabad.

Shivam Dube

Shivam Dube is growing up as an effective medium-pace bowling all-rounder. Though SRH have the strong pace-bowling all-rounders like Australian Mitchell Marsh and Caribbean Jason Holder, Vijay Shankar is their only Indian pace-bowling all-rounder, who still has to prove consistency. As every franchise can only use a maximum number of four overseas players in the playing XI, a solid Indian pace-bowling all-rounder will make SRH team deeper.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) recently released Shivam Dube. In the IPL 2020, he scored 129 runs and took 4 wickets in 11 matches. However, in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2020/21, the Mumbai cricketer played 5 matches where he scored 161 runs (average 40.25; strike-rate 138.79), including one half-century, and also got 3 wickets.

While Dube can play a powerful role as a middle-order batsman, he can easily replace Vijay Shankar. So, SRH can target him during the IPL 2021 auction.
