IPL 2021 Auction: Aakash Chopra Opines RCB Will Run After Mitchell Starc If He Is Available

Former Indian Opener Aakash Chopra has opined that the Royal Challenger’s Bangalore Team will be running after Mitchell Starc if the left-arm pacer opts to play IPL this year. RCB has released five overseas players and has traded Australian allrounder Daniel Sams from Delhi Capitals. They have retained AB Devilliers, Josh Phillipe, Kane Richardson, and Adam Zampa and they have 3 overseas slots to fill in the auction this year with a bigger purse of money available.
The Surprising move from the RCB team was the expulsion of Chris Morris who did perform well last season and Aakash Chopra had told that RCB may get back him for a lower price and the only motive behind releasing the all-rounder would have been injury issues. Cameron Green is another option they will have in the bag as the Australian all-rounder can strike some lusty blows.
Aakash Chopra Says Starc Might Get Huge Bucks In The Auction
Aakash Chopra has told that RCB with a large sum of money in their purse will be having the privilege to go all out for buying Mitchell Starc in the auction if he is available to play. RCB will also be in need of an opener to partner Devdutt Padikall as Aaron Finch was released on account of his poor form. Jason Roy and Dawid Malan will be the first choice options to go for in the auction.
“RCB will run after Mitchell Starc if he is available. They have money, so they can run after him. They can go to 15-19 crores also if they wish to do so,” opined Chopra on his Youtube Channel. I also see them running after Cameron Green because they do not have anyone in their middle order. They will also run after an opener. They have let Finch go, so Roy and David Malan are the only ones left,” added Aakash Chopra.
RCB Could Consider Getting Kyle Jamieson
RCB would be eyeing to improve the strength of their bowling by adding some in form bowlers and Kyle Jamieson is one of those quicks who has rattled the batting lineups. Though he may have been successful in only test format, he still might get a chance with the amount of bounce he can extract.
“Because of they have let Chris Morris go, they could look towards Kyle Jamieson as an all-rounder. But Jamieson has good numbers in Tests, you don’t know how he does in T20s,” said Chopra.
RCB has released a lot of players despite having a good season in the last IPL and they will need to reduce making a lot of changes which might decline the team unity.
